I went to Tilford Rural Life Centre today and was delighted to have conversations with several of your members. In particular I had a long informative talk with "Patsy Palmer" whose knowledge of his subject, small arms, grenades, mortars, anti-tank rocket launchers, rations and medals was amazing. His dedication to the cause is worthy of the greatest admiration and respect.

  • Jackie Howarth (Tuesday, April 30 24 12:19 pm BST)

We met the Screaming Eagles History Group at the Tiger Day last weekend. Their enthusiasm and commitment to authenticity was superb. Their knowledge of the weaponry, kit and men they portray was extremely comprehensive. Great to chat to ‘Fluff’. He was full of stories, information and witty comedy. Really enjoyed the interaction. Thank you guys for your time and commitment.

Military Odyssey 2023 was a fantastic weekend. It was a great pleasure to meet the Screaming Eagles History Group, talking to them about the different theatres of WWII and then getting my picture taken with them. I will definitely return next year! Semper Fi gentlemen!

Capel military show 2023 was awesome, spent some time at your display talking with patsy If I remember correctly. He spent ages talking to my kids and letting them hold different weapons. Very knowledgeable guy and made for a great experience 👍

    Fort Burgoyne (Armed Forces Weekend)
Very professional outfit and friendly. They took the time to explain weapons and general points of interest about what they did as a group. My grandson was literally hanging on to their every word. Look forward to catching them at Detling show ground in August.

  • Philippa Yates (Monday, August 29 22 11:44 am BST)

What a fabulous group of gentlemen. Darren and the rest of his team were brilliant with our son (and the rest of our family) at Military Odyssey. They’ve made his year ! They were extremely generous with their own time, gave us so much valuable advice and information to help our little chap on his reenactment journey. I really can’t thank them enough. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly and personable. They went above and beyond to help us and we look forward to keeping in touch ! Thank you

  • S M Phillips (Saturday, July 02 22 09:21 pm BST)

Met 2 fellas at caple military show who were brilliant with our kids, letting them get hands on with some rifles and pistols. Knowledge was brilliant, they were friendly and approachable and eager to share their wealth of knowledge. Forgive me i forgot exactly the names but I think one was bin and the other eludes me. Looked like a lot of time had gone into their rigs and they sat there in the sun fully kitted and still smiling. Top job.

  • Alan Copeman (Saturday, July 02 22 07:23 pm BST)

Just got back from Capel. It may not have been Normandy shortly after D Day but it certainly felt like a film set for Band of Brothers. Just like the film the soldiers seemed real. Excellent, thanks

  • Maxim bordessoule (Saturday, July 02 22 06:03 pm BST)

Would like to say a genuine thanks to Patsy and Plug at the Capel military show. I came over to take a couple photos and ask some questions and they told me about anything and everything i asked for, even telling me unique and suprissing information about some of the replica/authentic firearms they had. They are where truly fantastic and it was a fantastic experience.

I am a Peruvian national and would like to express my thanks to Patsy and his colleague for all their knowledge, time and patience explaining, demonstrating, as well as giving me the opportunity to interact with some of the display items for myself. I thoroughly enjoyed the talk and look forward to visiting them at future events.

  • Jon Pearson (Tuesday, June 07 22 02:05 pm BST)

Patsy and Fester were great with my son Theo at the Overlord show in Denmead, they spent time taking him through all the weapons and he absolutely loved it, thanks guys!

Hey I’m a royal marine cadet and I saw this group at overlord festival 2022 and they were very nice and approachable, they let us handle the weapons and take pictures with the members while learning a bit of the history of the unit they represent. Their kit and uniforms looked spot on to me and their set of the hotel de France is always a nice touch - very good group!
